At the end of the school year William's class did a little readers theater, which was very cute. The class performed for other classes and grades in the school, and then also the parents. His class even made invites that the kids could give to neighbors or grandparents, etc. It was really sweet because William wanted to invite the Peck's. I was a little apprehesive because I didn't want them to feel obligated, but lo and behold Angilee and Coen showed up! It was really nice of them. I guess Coen had been super excited about it all day, and even Daradie wanted to get out of school early so she could attend.
The skits were nursery rhymes with a twist. William was the troll in the "Three Billy Goats Gruff." He even sported a black afro wig to play the part. The class made backdrops and gathered props from home. We donated a pair of Brooklyn's dress up shoes, which we got back. Good thing, Brooklyn was a little concerned that she wouldn't get them back!
